I guess every country has its own traditions concerning Easter, but quite a few many cultures in Europe believe in an Easter Bunny, which brings children small treats and presents on Easter Saturday or Sunday. And in Poland we believe that in order to get the Bunny to be generous, we need to leave for him a special nest on a window sill, filled with grass or hay, where he'll be comfortable leaving the presents (and probably taking a short break ;-). And that's also one of the reasons why a nest has become a popular theme in Easter decorations - here are my 3 ideas for it, which you can use as inspiration:
And I'm back :-) And I have quite a few days of not-blogging to make up to you... I'm starting today, with one last post about Easter :-)

I'm still not back at home, but I managed to get hold of a cumputer with Internet access for a moment, so I'm publishing a few photos I've prepared last week :-) And yes, I do realize that Easter is officially over now, but there'll be another one in a year, plus I guess everyone still has some Easter decorations at home ;-)
So here is an idea for an Easter wreath, because why should wreaths be made only for Christmas? ;-) I've come up with it last week, when I needed an Easter gift for my husband's family and I knew it'll have to last for quite a few days. So here it is, a cute, non-wilting, fuzzy Easter wreath, and I'm hoping to start a new trend here, so help me out! And a third idea in the series of egg-tray Easter decoration, a cute, simple piece of Spring for your table :-)
I really like the idea of turning drab-looking egg-trays into Easter decorations with high prettiness and cuteness factors ;-) So of course once I started to experiment, i couldn't stop at one... So here's another version:
Not much time left till Easter, so if you still haven't come up with an idea for a table decoration, I suggest one of these two, which I've come up with last week. A goose egg filled with water, wrapped with bits of wool (you can skip that part), with some flowers put inside (you can even use bits of potted flowers you've already got at home) and put in a glass, candle holder or other small pretty container, so that it stays upright. And that's it - 5 min and you're done :-)
First, I'd like to say that yesterday was my name-day, and I'd like to thank everyone who remembered :-)
Second, tomorrow I'm going away for over a week, so I might not be able to blog too often in the upcoming days - but I promise to make up for it later! And third, here is the portion of Easter cuteness I've promised you in the title of this post - my interpretation of the idea of using egg-trays for Easter decorations :-) Easy and quite fast to make, and you don't need to be a florist to make a similar arrangement. The basic idea is to put a few flowers into egg-shells filled with water, arrange them in an egg-tray and add a fluffy chicken or a bunny for good measure ;-) So if you're not that good with manual crafts and don't have much time to spare, this piece of Easter deco is ideal for you. Good luck! Another portion of cute Easter decorations, this time from www.potterybarn.com. Amazing how many things you can do with eggs, chicken and bunnies! Plus, while I cannot stand eating eggs, I have nothing against them in their decorative form ;-) So if your home still isn't ready to celebrate Easter, it's probably hight time to start! Although I'm probably not the best example myself, since it was only two weeks ago that I "de-assembled" one of our Christmas trees... ;-) I don't remember when was the last time I was as busy as I've been these last few weeks, but I'm trying very hard not to neglect my blog! Still, please be patient with me :-)
Today I have for you a few ideas for how to transform an ordinary cupcake/muffin into an Easter one - with decorative eggs, ducks, chicks, bunnies and even sheeps ;-) Use them for inspiration! I've found them at www.foodnetwork.com. Today I have for you another one of my floristic experiments, a square-shaped, ultra-cute and cheerful nest from hay, full of Spring flowers. Since it's got potted plants inside, I'm counting on it surviving for quite a while (unless I forget to water it...). It's made from a box wrapped in a layer of hay and a copper net on the outside, and unless you're allergic to hay, it's a perfect Spring/Easter accent for your home ;-)
